On August 6, Zverev had a very important announcement.
Zverev, who was able to fulfill his dreams even after being diagnosed with diabetes, wants to help kids in a similar position to achieve their dreams. "The 6th of August 2022 is a very special day for my family and I.
Today, the Alexander Zverev Foundation has officially come to life, supporting children with type 1 diabetes and helping people prevent type 2 diabetes by living a healthy and active life. Our mission is to provide insulin and life saving medicine to children in developing countries and those in need.
And as a type 1 diabetic myself, I want to encourage children with diabetes to never give up on their dreams no matter what others might say to you. The only limit is the one you set yourself," Zverev wrote on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Zverev has returned to practicing and he is expected to make his long-awaited return at the Diriyah Tennis Cup between December 08-10. “I’m happy that I’ll finally be back on the court after my injury.
It’s even nicer that I can make my comeback before the official start of the 2023 season. I think the Diriyah Tennis Cup offers a very good opportunity for it and I’m looking forward to being in Saudi Arabia for the first time," Zverev said in the tournament's press release.
