The Ministry of Health (MoH), in collaboration with EVYD Technologies, is conducting a Diabetes Research Study aimed at helping individuals with Type 2 diabetes with their care.
Members of the public who are interested and meet the criteria for the study will be invited to participate in the research.
Those interested in participating can also apply through the BruHealth app or via email to diabetesstudybn@gmail.com.
The Diabetes Research Study was shared by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in the weekly press conference on the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Among the objectives of the study, he said “is to evaluate the effectiveness of digital intervention methods in diabetes care.
Participation for this study started since April 2022 until the end of this month, where a total of 180 individuals are targetted to participate”.
The minister added, “The public is invited to participate, to help the MoH evaluate the effectiveness of the health strategies and programmes in the country, especially non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes.“
Participants, he highlighted, “will receive extensive and comprehensive health monitoring from professional health coaches and nutritionists, blood sugar level management plan and a smart fitness tracker”.
