Juan Huang, MD, PhD presents “Oral microbiota in type 1 diabetes.”
Dr. Huang earned both her MD and PhD from Xiangya Medical School in China. Her PhD research was on the role of neutrophils in type 1 diabetes. She was trained in China as an endocrinologist, and subsequently came to the U.S. for additional research training. Dr. Huang joined the Wen lab as a postdoc, and was subsequently promoted to Associate Research Scientist. Her talk this week will educate us on how the impact of the oral microbiota in those with type 1 diabetes. Please come for what promises to be an interesting and timely talk.
