According to the National Library of Medicine, regular physical therapy can have a positive effect on people with type 2 diabetes, especially the elderly.
Physiotherapy can not only help prevent the symptoms of diabetes from getting worse, but it also helps manage symptoms. Physiotherapy can help people achieve a healthy weight. It improves blood circulation in the body, reduces fatigue, and helps reduce musculoskeletal problems. Along with physical therapy, a balanced diet and a healthy weight are also essential.

According to Physiopedia (Physiopedia.com), don’t exercise if your blood sugar levels are below 100 mg/dl or above 250 mg/dl. Patients can be treated for hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Patients should always eat carbohydrate-rich foods while exercising.
For Type 1 (insulin-dependent) patients, it’s best not to exercise during insulin peak.
An average of 30 minutes of exercise per session is recommended for type 2 diabetes patients.
During long periods of exercise, 10-15 grams of carbohydrates should be consumed every 30 minutes.
This could lead to targeted treatments to kill bacteria and to reduce the global problem of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
